The following are news updates for the year 2003:
IT'S BLACK-EYED PEA TIME AGAIN
Thursday 9, 2003
Happy new year all! 2002 was an especially fruitful year for MJPro, and it looks like 2003 will be no less exciting.
School's going great! Seems I'm an honor roll student now. Wierd, huh? I'm already 1/4 done with my college studies, but I've a ways to go. In order to keep my "hobby" from getting in the way of school, I'm limiting myself to three projects at a time. One will always have to do with Lizy, the second will always be a computer game, and the third will be whatever I feel like at the time. You can see what they are on the projects page.
Hopefully, I'll get The Adventures of Lizy the Lizard done sometime soon. That's what's really sponging up my time. Those annoying pictures take forever to plan out and paint (by hand, mind you)! And ever since the Tech-Pack slipped into the plot, I've liked the story less and less. Oh, well, everyone else seems to like it. In any case, Chapter 18 is up today. Chapter 19 will finally reveal Cruel's plot, and that should be up by next week. (I do the pictures two at a time, since that's what fits on each page, so that's why you usually get two chapters close together.)
Also, I'm finally putting together a new online comic. This one will be much easier to produce, so you'll probably get on every other month or so. We'll see. I'll have a preview of it by next week, along with the first version of The Pickles Official Strategy Guide. Tell then, have fun!
AT LAST, THE CONFLICT IS RESOLVED
Monday, January 20, 2003
Chapter 19 of Lizy is up at last! I finally was able to write the "tech-pack" out of the story, which not only made the story easier to follow, but more fun for a wider audience. (I never liked the tech-pack anyhow. If you don't know what it is, read Lizy Comic #3.) Now that that's taken care of, I don't have to worry about it anymore. The story should be done soon, though I'm thinking about adding an extra chapter at the end.
In addition, an early version of The Pickles Official Strategy Guide is now up. Check it out! And download the new ver. 1.2 of The Pickles if you haven't already.
CITIZENS OF LIZARD VALLEY! DO NOT FEAR! I AM NOT DEAD (YET)!
Friday, May 16, 2003
Yes, it's true, I'm not dead. It's just a little something called "college." In any case, a lot has happened since the last update. MJPro has just celebrated it's second anniversary and The Pickles tied for "Best Puzzle Game of 2002" in the Annual Allegro Awards. I just got Chapter 20 of Lizy up, so go enjoy it in celebration.
In other news, MJPro may soon experience a slight name change. In any case, the site will soon be tweaked. More on that next week. In the meantime, enjoy the update!
WELCOME TO THE NEW SITE!
Wednesday, July 2, 2003
Well, my birthday came and went and I'm halfway through my studies now, but what else is new? Oh yes! If you look up at the top of your browser window you'll notice I've changed the name. Yes, that's right, it's Dale Johnson Productions now. I usually go by my first name at school, so I decided it'd be best to have the site under that name as well.
Project Ace is coming along nicely. At last, I'm making progress on it. Next time, I'll wait to finish one of my games before I start another one. I'll have a teaser up for it by next update, I think.
Chapter 21 of Lizy is up now. Things are coming to a close, which means I can finally stop working on those annoying illustrations I have to do for each chapter.
More of The Pickles walkthrough is up as well, so help yourself to a healthy dose of Pickles goodness. It'll be good for you! Really!

DALE JOHNSON PRODUCTIONS UNVIELS ACE FOXWORTH
Saturday, November 1, 2003
As the title suggests, the new game I've been working on, previously known as "Project Ace" has been revealed as the platform/adventure game " Ace Foxworth and the Book of Dreams ." Visit the Ace Foxworth page for a preview. I AM NOW ACCEPTING E-MAILS CONCERNING BETA TESTING! Anyone with some time to kill somewhere around late October to mid November is welcome to apply. I only need a limited number of beta testers, however, so e-mail me as soon as possible if you're interested. Beta testing should begin by mid-December.
Sorry there's no Lizy chapter up today. College has been draining me with no end in site. Thankfully, I'm over halfway done, but it's just becoming unbearable. Sigh... Hopefully I'll last. I'm sure I will, but it's got me depressed right now. Hopefully, any fellow students will sympathize will me. Yeah, you know who you are: Sitting there in front of your computer screen on a diet of caffeine and take-out with less than four hours of sleep in the past 48 hours, looking up my web site when you should actually be studying for that exam tomorrow morning that counts for exactly 27.897% of your grade! Shame on you! Back to work!
My Game Boy Advance has been giving me company, though. Picked up Golden Sun for $18 at Wal-Mart and I've been enjoying it for the past few month now. Also picked up Final Fantasy Tactics Advance a month back, but had to stop playing since I simply don't have the time to play it and still be able to do schoolwork. (That and the fact my dad kinda wanted my save.) I'm tempted to get Golden Sun: The Lost Age but I can only get one more game with my money, and I have my eyes on other GBA titles (namely Fire Emblem ). Maybe I'll get the latter for Christmas?
Guess I better get back to sleep... Err... Homework... Yes, that's right. He, he. Homework. |
