"Oh yeah!" Chubby shouted back waving his fists. "Well, I'd give you a piece of my mind too, if I had enough to spare!"

"Well, that was heroic," said Speedy sarcasticly.

"What a bunch of pea brains!" shouted Cruel from above. "I hope you enjoy playing games, because I'm going to play cat and mouse with you nut heads! I'm going to be the cat and you are the mice, so start scurrying. Remember, cats always play with their food before eating it! I have big plans for you in my new torture chambers!"

With that, Cruel jumped down from his perch and landed smack on top of Lizy the Lizard!

"WOWR!" cried poor, distressed Lizy.

"This doesn't sound like a very friendly game," commented Chubby nervously.

"You can't win, Cruel!" Lizy said pathetically from beneath Cruel.

"I'm sitting on top of you and your still not going to admit defeat?" taunted Cruel, "Well, maybe you're not in enough pain yet?" Cruel staring to bounce up and down a little.

"WOWR! WOWR! WOWR!" cried Lizy!

"We'll save you, Lizy!" shouted Speedy grabbing a long board and running over to Cruel. "Chubby, Bob, give me a hand!"

"This is going to be good!" chuckled Cruel.

"You fail to know the basic principles of the lever, my dear Cruel," said Speedy placing the board on a large stone and jamming the far end of it beneath Cruel, "Now, using this stone as a fulcrum, I will succeed in prying you up off the dedicated Guardian of Lizard Valley! Now, if Bob and Chubby will please sit upon the other end, you will be lifted up off the ground and our dear friend will be saved!"

Bob and Chubby sat on the other end of the board, but nothing happened.

"This is more embarrassing than slipping on the kitchen floor!" commented Speedy as he listened to Cruel's evil laugh, "Okay, everyone, let's help out!" The whole army of lizards sat on the board with Bob and Chubby but Cruel didn't go up even half of an inch!

"Oh, bother," sighed Speedy from within the pile sitting on the board, "This isn't working quite like I had expected it to."

By now, Cruel was laughing so hard he had begun to cry. But he wouldn't be laughing for much longer, for a single, tiny butterfly had come to land upon the top of the pile. In an instant, Cruel was flying through the air away from the Valley, and all his soldiers had begun to retreat from the castle!
