The serpent rushed straight for the tiny vessel, smashing it into a thousand pieces. Fortunately, Lizy had the keen sense to jump up on to the snout of the beast.

"I hope my insurance covers this," commented Lizy. "I wish Bob were here with my sword."

Anyhow, Lizy was overcome by the monster and was swallowed. Oh, well. So much for this tale.

You say Lizy is supposed to win? Oh, if you insist! I was wanting to see who would have to take his place should anything happen, but I fear that position would go to Speedy, so it would probably be to my own gain to have Lizy overcome this minor battle.

Okay then, Lizy won and made it all the way up to Mt. Lizard to take on Cruel! Let's fast forward to where Cruel is calling down to Lizy from the walls of Mt. Lizard. That part is always interesting.
