THE LIZVENTURE - PAGE 2 |
"Good idea!" remarked Speedy, "I'll go tell Bob and Chubby!" "Uh, Speedy," began Lizy still wrestling with the lawn chair, "Could you help me..." But he was too late. Speedy was already off. "Oh, bother," Lizy commented to himself, "Isn't it just like you, Lizy, to go around getting your tail sawed in half by attacking lawn chairs." Lizy spent the rest of the morning just trying to free himself from the jaws of his enemy. It was nearly one O'clock when he finally escaped the chair's clutches and set out on his way. By that time, Cruel had already dispatched his armies to install road blocks on most all the major roadways. Lizy had only gotten a few minutes down the highway when he spotted, not too far away, one of these road blocks. "Oh dear," thought Lizy, "And Bob has my sword! Maybe I can still take them on, though. Or perhaps I make make it through peacefully. Hmm... I could always back track a little and cross the bridge into the forest. Then I could find a boat and cross Lake Lizard to end up on the other side of the blockade. But that would take awhile, and no matter which one I choose, I shouldn't come across any more of these things. I think I'll...
...go around by way of the forest."
